The people who are helped by CCA’s programs are the poor and needy of the South Norwalk area. This includes people who have employment and can not make ends meet as well as the chronically unemployed. Our clients are young, old, single and individuals with families.
Due to the high cost of living in Fairfield County, there are many served by CCA who are working but spend a disproportionate amount of their income on rent. CCA’s food program provides them with a week’s worth of food when their money runs out for purchasing food. We also help clients who do not have the financial resources to fund a security deposit for renting an apartment through our Emergency Financial Aid program.
Our clients are typically men and women with families whom we provide furniture, kitchenware and gently used children’s books. Our clients’ children are also provided with mattresses (when needed) and Christmas gifts during the holiday season.
